Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum

Exhibit Dates: July 12 – October 9, 2017
Location: Banff, Alberta

Set in an impressive log fort, fronting the Bow River, The Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum allows large numbers of visitors from all over the globe to experience the Bison Exhibit, and take the message home.

Even as the Exhibit was being set up, people were standing at partially set modules to read, view and touch what they could. Due in no small part to the recent re-introduction of 16 bison deep into Banff National Park, and the birth of ten new bison calves to that herd, interest in bison here is very high.

The First Nations community here is firmly behind the Exhibit and proud of the representation it portrays. We look forward to more comments and discussion as summer tourists view and enjoy the Bison Exhibit on its first Canadian visit.
